Member discount: BCMC Members use the link at the top of the page to obtain a promo code for the Automated System to be used a the time of checkout for a member discount of 50% for members in your party. You only have the opportunity to use this at the time of checkout.
Commercial groups: The rate is twice the non-member rate. Includes guides, guests in guided groups, film groups etc.
Propane stove fuel supply at the hut. New tanks were flown in, in September 2022. There is a third tank in reserve. To connect the reserve tank to the supply line, use the supplied crescent wrench in the propane shed to connect the reserve tank in place of one of the empty tanks. Use appropriate care when handling propane tanks. Do not strip or over tighten the supply lines. Check for leaks. Propane has a smell. Turn off the tank valves when not in use.
Notes & Restrictions
Hut capacity is 8 guests (penalty for misuse). This limit is to permit the enjoyment of the hut without overcrowding.
Open cabin. (honour system)
We rely on the honour system for hut users to pay. Payment goes to hut maintenance.
If your party brings non-paying guests you will be charged $100 per night per person for each non-paying guest.
Locked propane system. Access codes emailed on payment.
Walk or bike to trailhead. No vehicle access.
Furry gate key not available for hut bookings.
Keep it clean (guests clean up)

Pack it in, Pack it out (no garbage facilities)
Take out anything you brought up with you including any bottles. Leave no food behind including leftover liquor.
Keep it clean. Keep a clean and tidy cabin. Guests are responsible for cleaning up daily and when they leave. Clean up is not the responsibility of the custodian. If the custodian asks you to clean up or put things away please do so.
Pets/dogs are not permitted in any BCMC Cabin.

The cabin has a main floor for cooking and socializing. The upper floor is for sleeping
Bring your own cooking pots, cooking stove, eating utensils, toilet paper, sleeping bag, sleeping pad. These items are not supplied at the cabin.
(Optional) Take a fresh cloth for wiping down cooking and food preparation surfaces, e.g. J-Cloth or dish cloth.

Only seasoned backcountry parties should book the hut in winter. Navigation skills required. Avalanche danger.

Furry Creek trailhead is at KM 11 on Furry Creek FSR. Parties must walk or cycle from Highway 99 to the trailhead. We do not give refunds based on the guests not being able to drive the roads. Do not reserve the hut if you are unable to hike to the trailhead in reasonable time.
No vehicle access to trailhead.
Access road is gated at Sea to Sky Highway. Access on foot or bicycle only.
Vehicle access to trailhead on Furry Creek FSR for those booking the cabin. The access road is gated at Sea to Sky Highway. For those booking the cabin a key to the gate may be given out by the key custodian if specific criteria are met. See below. Otherwise, access on foot or bicycle only. 17.5 km from highway to hut (11 km of good road to trail head). Elevation gain 1400 meters. Allow a full day. The gravel road is loose and steep in places, but a bike is worth it.
Access up Britannia FSR is not allowed under any circumstance.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation seven or more days prior:
A guest may request cancellation of a reservation up to seven (7) days prior to the first day of the reservation. Send an email to the Club at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. stating your name, dates of reservation and the confirmation number, if possible. If the cancellation is authorized, an administration fee is charged of $10 or 10% of the amount, whichever is greater.
Cancellation less than seven days prior:
Less than seven days, we may decline a cancellation or change of schedule at our sole discretion, for any reason. Cancellations and rescheduling are authorized by the Cabins and Trails director or delegate.
Warnings:

Similarly, we expect guests to be competent to hike, ski or snowshoe into the hut. We do not give refunds if guests are unable to reach the hut. It is rugged mountain terrain. In winter, guests must be capable of backcountry navigation, breaking trail, avalanche assessment, avoidance and more. Do not reserve the hut if you or anyone in your party is novice, unprepared, physically unable, improperly equipped or inexperienced.
