The Plummer Hut is a Himmelsbach hut, sleeps 8 and used primarily by climbers. It is located about 4 km SE of Mount Tiedmann, on a ridge just west of Claw Peak. The Hut Iis about 5 m long and 3 m wide, and is an arch shaped Himmelsbach hut.
History: It was built in July, 1969 by the British Columbia Mountaineering Club (BCMC). The hut was named after Paul Plummer, who was a member of the club who died in 1968.
The hut is in rugged mountain terrain. Guests must be capable of backcountry navigation, breaking trail, avalanche assessment, avoidance and more. Do not reserve the hut if you or anyone in your party is novice, unprepared, physically unable, improperly equipped or inexperienced.

Hut capacity is 8 guests. This limit is to permit the enjoyment of the hut without overcrowding.The cabin has a main floor for cooking and socializing. The upper floor is for sleeping. The cabin is for active people who pursue mountain climbing, backcountry skiing, snowshoeing, hiking and wilderness appreciation. It is not a party hut for party animals. Please respect our quiet hours.
Notes and Restrictions
Open cabin. The door is open. We rely on the honour system for hut users to pay. Payment goes to hut maintenance.

Non-smoking.
Pack it in, pack it out. The hut has no garbage facility. Take out anything you brought up with you including any bottles. Leave no food behind including leftover liquor.
Keep it clean. Keep a clean and tidy cabin. Guests are responsible for cleaning up daily and when they leave. Clean up is not the responsibility of the custodian. If the custodian asks you to clean up or put things away please do so.
Harsh mountain environment (not for novices or newbies)
What to bring
Bring your own cooking pots, cooking stove, eating utensils, toilet paper, sleeping bag, sleeping pad. These items are not supplied at the cabin.
(Optional) Take a fresh cloth for wiping down cooking and food preparation surfaces, e.g. J-Cloth or dish cloth.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation seven or more days prior:
A guest may request cancellation of a reservation up to seven (7) days prior to the first day of the reservation. Send an email to the Club at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. stating your name, dates of reservation and the confirmation number, if possible. If the cancellation is authorized, an administration fee is charged of $10 or 10% of the amount, whichever is greater. Alternatively, the reservation may be rescheduled to another available date without penalty.
Cancellation less than seven days prior:
No refunds for cancellation less than seven days prior to the first day of the reservation. There is no rescheduling of reservations. There are no refunds given for hazardous conditions prior to or during the booking dates.
Full Refunds
Full refunds will be given for hazardous situations out of a person's control. A full refund will be given for the unused portion of the reservation under the following verifiable statements:
Hazardous weather warning for Central Coast by Environment Canada at Public weather alerts for B.C. in effect at any time during the reservation.
High avalanche danger at the Alpine, Treeline or Below Treeline zones in the Sea to Sky region at Avalanche Forecast for any avalanche bulletin in effect during the reservation.
Unable to fly in due to bad weather.
To ensure you qualify for a full refund attach a screen shot of the web page that states the hazardous condition including the date and time during which the warning is in effect to your email request. The warning may have been taken down by the time we review your request. A screen shot will help us verify the warning condition so we can expedite a full refund.
